FLORA VALLEY STATION - February 2021
So far we've had a fantastic wet season with rainfall hitting 561.5mm at Flora Valley and 434mm at our outstation, Nicholson.
The creeks are all full and flowing well.... there has even been a couple of fresh water crocodiles spotted in the Nicholson creeks.
With all this rain there has been some wicked storms that have unfortunately wreaked a bit of havoc with the trees around the homestead. We're not complaining though, as this time last year we were still running bores so its great to not have that task to do this year.
Our cattle and horses are in great condition with all the fresh green grass around and we're sure there will be some great weights in our sale cattle this year.
The team on station have been busy with repairs and maintenance as well as finishing off the extension to the shed, all before we kick off the season.
We are very happy to see the arrival of our new CAT 924H loader thanks to Wayne's Quality Diggers - the new loader has a larger capacity than our old one, which will assist better with hay/supplement distribution and upcoming capital projects.
